Look Forward, Not Back!

Last week I was meditating on this passage from Romans 5. In the past this scripture has comforted me during times of trials because it promises that good things come from them. This time the concept of having hope caught my attention. Hope is “favorable and confident expectation, a forward look with assurance.” Rather than dwelling on our current or past circumstances, we should be looking forward with confident expectation because God loves us!
